March 9, 2008 - Due to the shop closure our hairstylist Kelsey, has returned to Khairacters Studio located in the valley in Hinton. If you want

to book an appointment with her she can be reached at 865-3950. Kelsey will be missed dearly, but we wish her the best in her move back

to Khairacters

 

March 6, 2008 - Drowning In Ink will be closing this coming May.

The exact date isn't certain yet, but if you would like to book an

appointment before we leave, you should contact us ASAP. Availability is scarce and we are almost all booked up until then.

We are relocating to Edmonton, and Mike will be working at  Dragon FX in the West Edmonton Mall, starting in May.

Dec 07, 2007 - Just a reminder that we will be closed over the holidays so that our staff can enjoy some time off with their families.

We will be closed from Sunday December 23, 2007 until Wednesday January 2, 2008. We hope everyone has a great holiday and Happy New Year

 

Nov 09, 2007 - We would like to thank everyone for their patience in the last couple months with the closures we have been having.

In October we were closed for a few weeks as we have a new addition to our family. Dexter John Magee was born on September 28, 2007

at 12:15pm. He is currently not taking appointments as he can't talk yet let alone hold a tattoo machine, but we'll keep you posted.

-We have also been doing a lot of renovating to the shop because our staff is expanding, so once it is all completed I

will be posting new pictures in the "Shop" section of the website.

-We have also taken on a new apprentice, Darcey Cook. Darcey began with us on November 1, 2007. We welcome him and look

forward to working with him. I will soon be posting a bio for Darcey in the "Tattoo" section of the website.

-Unfortunately because we have taken on a new artist and have a new apprentice we no longer have the room for an Art Gallery. We would like

to thank everyone who participated and wish you all the best of luck.

 

 

Sept 16, 2007 - Drowning In Ink would like to welcome Brett Appel to the staff. Brett has been our apprentice for over a year now, and has

graduated to Tattoo Artist. Brett is currently taking appointments for October. Stop by and book your appointment today.

 

 

Aug 1, 2007 - Alberta Bound Productions will be hosting The 4th Annual Calgary Tattoo & Arts Festival

Sept 1-3, 2007 at The Stampede Round-up Centre

There will be over 200 artists working at the show. Along with ourselves, you will see other artists such as

 Dave Nestler, Sean Herman, Junior, Kat Von D, Hannah Aitchison, Bob Tyrrell, and Fiona Long to name a few.

 

This year's show will have many clothing vendors, painting exhibits, custom cars and motorcycles to add to the atmosphere

We will be entertained with live bands throughout the weekend, as well as nighttime parties for artists and attending

The Tattoo & Piercing section of the shop will be closed from July 30 - Aug 22

as we will be working in Ontario during that time. You can still book appointments with our Hair Stylist Kelsey

May 19, 2007 - Just a quick note to let everyone know that we are completely booked up for our August Geraldton trip.

Sorry we couldn't get to everyone who wanted some work done.

 

April 12, 2007 - We have decided to lengthen our trip to Geraldton this August. We will be arriving a week earlier to attend

The Annual Geraldton Jamboree. If you would like to book an appointment we do have openings from August 2nd to the 9th.

I would advise contacting us early because these spots will fill up fast once we go thru our cancellation list.

On April 27 & 28, 2007 we will be moving shop to the "Hinton Home & Leisure Show" hosted by

The Hinton & District Chamber of Commerce. The Trade show will be held at the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre.

We will be set up at the Trade show on Friday, April 27th from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and

on Saturday, April 28th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Unfortunately we are totally booked for this event and the shop itself will be closed on these days.

Stop by and check out all the booths the Show will be featuring!

 

The Fair will take place at the Hinton Centre on Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

We will be setting up shop at the Fair and taking appointments.

So stop by and enter our free draws and check out the different Fashion Shows the Bridal Fair is hosting, see you there!
